Diving in Kenting
Kenting is the paradise of leisure and fun. Although Kenting National Park is also located in Kenting, these two places should not be confused as the same destination. Kenting is the wider area that includes small townships as well as the national park.
The main town is Hengchun, where most of the hotels are located and where you can rent a bicycle or a scooter to reach the Kenting National forest recreation area - well know for its tropical climate and sunshine,
scenic mountain and beach.
Its tropical climate - mild in winter - is attracting both travellers and local Taiwanese all year round.
In March there is the Spring Scream rock-band festival.
Fun Dive in Kenting
Kenting, located in southern Taiwan, is a place surrounded by the ocean. The Kenting national park is a place to have a great vacation; furthermore, it is an excellent diving place. The weather in Kenting is like an eternal spring. The scenery which makes the national park so spectacular extends below the water. More than three hundreds colorful coral and thousands of various fish can be discovered in the adventure.
► Discover Scuba Diving:
You can experience the joys of scuba diving with a qualified Instructor without being a certified diver. The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor in a pool or pool-like conditions, such as those found at a resort. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills .
Prerequisites:
⇒ A swimming suit, towel , USB and a sense for adventure.
⇒ Discover Scuba Diving form must be completed. If there is a "yes" answer to any of the medical questions you must obtain a physicians approval PRIOR to taking the class.
Cost: Early Bird Special offer TWD 2.200 for reservation with 7 days in advance!
This fun filled day costs $2500 NTD per person, which includes everything you will need for the discovery scuba diving.
► PADI Bubblemaker
A chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water.
Bubblemakers get a chance to:
⇒ Experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a PADI Pro.
⇒ Take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres/6 feet.
⇒ Learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults.
Cost:
The price for the Bubblemaker class is $4,000 NTD.
► PADI Open Water Diver Course
If you've always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world's most popular and widely recognized scuba course.
Cost:
The price for the Open water certification class is $15,000 NTD.
This price includes text book, dive computer, flashlight, instruction, 3 days lunch,the license and personal gear (mask snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regular).
► PADI Advance Open Water Diver Course
After you've earned your PADI Open Water diver certification or the acceptable equivalent, you're ready for the Advanced Open Water Course. The Advanced class provides an excellent opportunity to expand your diving skills under professional, experienced supervision.
The class features two core dives: Multilevel and Peak buoyancy. In addition, you must complete three elective dives.
Three elective dives consist of:
1) Deep dive,
2) Navigation Dive and
3) Night dive.
All the dives you do in this class counts towards the correlating specialty class.
Prerequisites
⇒ PADI Open Water diver certification or an acceptable equivalent
Cost:
The price for the Advanced certification class is $12,000 NTD.
This price includes text book, dive computer, flashlight, instruction, 2 days lunch and the license.
Personal gear (mask snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regular ) are not included.

► PADI Rescue Diver Course
After you have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Course and Emergency First Response, you are ready for the PADI Rescue Diver Course. The Rescue course provides divers with skills that are essential for Self Rescue and for helping other divers. Upon completion you will qualify to take the PADI Dive Master class and be on your way to becoming a professional.
Prerequisites
⇒ PADI Advanced Open Water Course or equivalent
Cost:
The price for the Enrich class is $12,000 NTD.
This price includes text book, dive computer, flashlight, instruction, 2 days lunch and the license.
Personal gear (mask snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regular ) are not included.
A complete of quality scuba equipment cost only $1,000/per day
► PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)
The PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course. The PADI Enriched Air Diver Course provides recreational divers with the knowledge to safely plan and conduct nitrox dives up to 40%. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time – which means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.
Cost:
The price for the Enrich class is $6,000 NTD. This price includes text book, insurance and the license.
There are no open water dives required or included in this class.
Dive with Nitrox tank is not included, $2,000NTD for 2dives as required. Cincl 2 Nitrox tank, instructor and dive computer.
